The English Youth Ballet presents full-length classical ballets in the regional theatres of England, Scotland and Wales and gives opportunities to young dancers outside London to perform within a professional setting. The Company put on up to six productions per year, rehearsing and performing in different counties of the UK.

The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) is the world's leading dance examinations board. Formed in 1904 it is today a registered educational charity and is the only organisation that covers the full spectrum of dance examinations on a truly global scale.

The International Association for Dance Medicine and Science was formed in 1990 by an international group of dance medicine practitioners, dance educators, dance scientists, and dancers. Membership is drawn equally from the medical and dance professions, and has grown from an initial 48 members in 1991 to nearly 600 members at present world-wide, representing 32 countries.

The International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) takes a prominent part in coordinating dance activities in Great Britain and the world. London Contemporary Dance School at The Place, which is one of the world's leading vocational schools for dance, was founded in 1966 by Robin Howard to help realise his vision of establishing a British tradition of contemporary dance based on the technique of Martha Graham.

The three year course at the London Studio Centre is accredited by the Council for Dance Education and Training (UK), and leads to one of four possible qualifications, two of which are validated by Middlesex University.

The National Resource Centre for Dance (NRCD) is a non-profit national archive and resource provider for dance and movement. The NRCD aims to preserve the nation's dance heritage and enables, supports, and enhances the study and teaching of dance.

National Youth Ballet of Great Britain aims to offer talented young dancers an opportunity to participate in the creation, production and performance of ballet at a professional level, and to encourage children from all walks of life to become involved with NYB through schools and community workshops.

Yorkshire Dance

Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) is the only student ballet competition in America which awards scholarships to the leading dance schools in the U.SUSd abroad. The competition is held annually in New York City and is open to dance students of all nationalities 8-19 years old.
